Q25. What happens if I do not provide a Table of Contents (TOC) sheet during the bulk upload process in Kitaboo?

Answer: If a TOC sheet is not provided during the bulk upload, Kitaboo will automatically attempt to generate the Table of Contents using the following logic:
- Priority 1: If a TOC sheet is uploaded by the user, Kitaboo will use it to create an accurate Table of Contents.
 - Priority 2: If no TOC sheet is uploaded:
- Kitaboo will first try to extract TOC information from PDF bookmarks, if available.
 - If bookmarks are missing, it will attempt to identify the Table of Contents from the PDF’s content pages—however, this method is often not accurate.

Recommendation:
We strongly recommend uploading a TOC sheet with precise chapter titles and folio numbers, as per the provided template. Without it, users may experience:
- Incorrect page numbers in search and page jump
 - Inaccurate or non-functional navigation in the TOC panel of the Reader

Providing a proper TOC ensures a seamless and meaningful reading experience for end users.
